What Are Bank Strongholds?

Season 5 introduces one of the biggest mechanical changes in Last War history: traditional strongholds are being replaced by Bank Strongholds. This fundamentally changes how alliances control territory, manage resources, and project power across the warzone.

Instead of holding strongholds purely for territorial control and stat bonuses, Bank Strongholds introduce an economic layer to warzone warfare. Alliances now need to think about deposits, resource flow, and economic warfare — not just military dominance.

⚠️ WARNING: New Mechanic — Old Strategies May Not Apply If you’ve been playing stronghold warfare the same way since Season 1, Bank Strongholds require a complete rethink. Territory control now has economic consequences that affect your entire alliance’s resource generation. Don’t autopilot your S4 strategy into S5.

⚠️ WARNING: Don’t Over-Deposit in Exposed Banks If a Bank Stronghold is on the front line or in a contested area, limit your deposits. Treat front-line banks as temporary — keep the bulk of your resources in well-defended interior banks. Losing a heavily-loaded front-line bank can set your alliance back significantly.
